• Toothpick: Toothpicks are easily available from your near stationary shop or ask for 5-6 extra toothpicks from your burger-wale-bhaiya. This item works similarly to your thin dotting tool or your thinnest brush varying with pressure.

• Toothbrush: As much as it sounds messy, toothbrushes can give you one of the beautiful patterns from the vast book of nail designs. Pick bright sunset colours on a black coat of nail polish and see how it look parlour-perfect!

• Sponge: This thing can give you one of the best gradient effects you could ever ask for at home. Ask your mom a small square of dishwashing sponge and dip it in contrasting colours. Lightly dab the nail already coated with nail paint and your gradient nail art is good to go!

• Newspaper: Is there a whole stack of old newspapers in your dad’s room? It’s time for it’s a perfect use. Apply a coat of white nail paint and let it dry. Cut a square piece of newspaper and place it on your nail. Spray an alcohol-based perfume on the newspaper piece and lightly press it to transfer the ink to your nail. Remove after 1-2 mins and the results will make you go show off it on social media!

• Marble art: This type of nail art can go messy but the results are always swoon-worthy. Fill a big bowl with lukewarm water. Add drops of your favourite colour of nail paints on its surface. Dip and swirl your nail around the scattered nail paint. Remove excess nail paint with a help of Q-Tip and your marble nail art is ready!
